Orphan Photo #134

Orphan 0134

A lovely lady.  I believe the photograph's imprint reads:  A. P. Webb Co., 141 & 143 W. Federal St., Youngstown, Ohio.  According to the book Ohio Photographers: 1839-1900, there was an A. P. Webb in Youngstown from 1888-1897.1

Someone's jumping for joy!  Too bad we don't know who they are or what the occasion is.

Found: Unclaimed Ancestors

foundToday I stumbled upon another orphan photo blog, Unclaimed Ancestors.  This blog, started earlier this year in April is put together by Jodi Bash.

Jodi’s mission is “connecting old photos and memorabilia with the families searching for them.”  Kudos to her for starting her blog!

And, since I have found several blog similar to Who Will Tell Their Story?, I have started a Blog Roll, which can be found in the menu bar at the top of this blog.

Orphan Photo #132

Orphan 0132

Love this!  I wonder who she is.  The photographer's imprint is nearly impossible to read, but I think I can make out "Ft. Way", so I'm guessing Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

Orphan Photo #131

Orphan 0131

Looks like a graveside photo with a portrait of the deceased.  On the back it reads:  "A likeness of my dear boy for a christmas present aunt Delia the flowers on his grave funeral day."
